their children can see their hair bun. If a man accidentally saw Yao woman without a scarf covering her hair, she will be forced to live with her family for three years as a law.
Huangluo Yao village known as 'long hair village' or 'village long hair'. Huangluo Yao ethnic communities believe that long hair gives her a long life, wealth, and luck. The longer the hair, the more fortunate they are.
Not only that, according to tradition, their hair should only be decomposed in the presence of kin. But, since 1987, Yao women began to leave these traditions.
